I bought these at my local hockey retail store for a pretty decent price along with an easton pants shell. I'm happy with the purchase. I had never used a girdle before buying this one from Easton, but I think that I won't be going back. This one had the best fit of the girdles available at the store. The only problem I have experienced is with the removable padding in the inside, which frequently comes out on its own during play. The permanent pads are great, however, and there are no tears on any part of the girdle.

My son is 13 years old, is nearly 6' 2" tall and weighs a whopping 150 lbs wet. The problem with standard pants are, if it fits him length-wise, they end up looking like he's wearing a barrel around his waist. Not so, with this girdle. The length is right and the expandable shell maintains the fit he needs.

This is a great girdle. Its lightweight and offers plenty of protection especially through the hips and lower back.
