Rated 5 out of 5 by Matt05 Great Bat!
This bat is great out out of the gate. I'm a solid line drive hitter and with this bat I am now hitting the ball of the fence or over. The ball just pops off this bat. We use the new ASA Hot Dot ball.

I was swinging the SV98 last year until it cracked with 1800 hits on it. I have had this bat a week and with 125 hits it's already hitting further than the Salvo. I like the new grips this year. They aren't thick or overly soft. The end load is just right and the bat swings smooth. I never liked hitting the 52/300 ball with my Salvo and now, with this bat, I can't wait to start summer league!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Dakatak Good bat, needs to break in.
This bat is decent, I payed to have it rolled after first swinging with it, and it never fully broke in. It's great with 47-52 Cor balls, but not so good with 40 Cor balls, which is what all of the leagues I play in use. I've hit two shots that were probably 375 feet earlier this season but I expect that, being a formal 2011 salvo-swinger. I just wish it had a broader sweet spot, and launched the 40 Cor balls.

Rated 1 out of 5 by tank durability is horrible
i had this bat for a month and it cracked sent it back got a warranty replacement bat that i was not happy with cause u pay the money for a first quality bat and have it less then a month and it breaks then u get a warranty replacement bat that is not as good. welli got that one back and one week later this one is cracked .the money it cost to ship the bat back to easton is up to 15 bucks so 299 for bat 15 to ship first one back and 15 to now ship second one back..so add it up and ask you self if it worth the month and one week i got out of it

I was actually sent this Bat by Easton after returning a 2010 Brett Helmer Synergy that broke after 2 swings. I played with the L4.0 for the first time and its a solid bat. It's not fully broken in just yet but i took one to the fence with it in the first game. Looks clean and nice out of the wrapper but after one game the bat looks like it's 2 years old (because it is white). Grip takes a little getting used to. Other than that I am fully satisfied!

Just hit this with the new .52 core balls, not broken in, she was sending the balls in the 330ft range. My Helmer 98H, very nicely broken in, was sending them 340ft. Oh I want this L4.0 to be broken in. They feel like the same bat. I have the 28oz and can tell there is a little more end load but not enough to make a difference.

This bat has a great balance between power and control. I'm sure it gets even bettee after the breakin period.
