ADVANCED MATERIALS. EXPLOSIVE POWER. The 2018-19 Easton® Ghost® X Evolution -8 is a two-piece EXACT™ Carbon composite design with a speed balanced swing weight. Easton’s new CXN EVOLUTION™ two-piece construction uses NITROCELL™ foam, creating a lighter and better feeling connection between the handle and the barrel, and a new Speed Cap™ design helps create a more flexible and responsive barrel, while also enhancing the sound of the bat. This -8 design is pro balanced for more mass behind the ball at contact, and Easton’s® DYNAMIC FEEL SYSTEM™ with CXN EVOLUTION™ technology provides outstanding all-around feel and performance. This 2018-19 Easton® Ghost® X Evolution model has a 2-5/8” barrel and features a custom Lizard Skin™ grip for the best feel, cushion and tack. It is approved for play in leagues and associations that follow the USA Baseball standard.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Stings too much We bought the Easton Ghost X bat that was recalled a year ago. Worked for my son because it stung his hands too much. The guy we bought it from in New Jersey insist that it was the best bat to get and there were no issues. He refused to believe it could be the bat. I would not accept his nonsense and purchased a different bat that was not Easton. My son bats cleanup and hit over .500 in the Districts that year. With the recall gift certificate we gave the new Easton Ghost X a second chance. Same problem. Now I had to buy a different bat. We went with the Rawlings. Don’t know what to say guys. I was hoping for so much more from an Easton bat. I did not get it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice look to the bat I’ve had this bat for about a month for my 10 year old. As far as USA bats go it is one of the better Easton bats i also have a drop 10 Ghost it performs better with little to no vibration. My son likes it and his fellow teams also like it. If your looking for a bat with big pop I don’t think there’s a USA bat out there but overall it performs. I do wish we could go back to the old bats they just hit and sounded better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from POWER My son fell in love with this bat immediately after his first time using. He is very confident at the plate and is hitting bombs and deep line drives. The bat has such a nice balance to it. He compares it to Thor's Hammer, as the balance is always spoken about it. The long barrel give a huge sweet spot. Love the sound of this bat's POP!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Bat Bought the bat about a month ago so only indoor batting practice so far, off the tee, short toss, and regular bp since we are in Pennsylvania and outdoor baseball hasn't started. This bat is very sharp looking and has a very large barrel. In the first practice with the bat off the T, the exit velo was the same as his Demarini Voodoo USA end loaded all metal from last year..maybe it will be better broken in or not, but the barrell is bigger regardless. The bat is getting broken in more and sounds almost like wood when hitting the ball well, so great sound and not the annoying ear piercing metal sound when hitting indoors. My son is 11 turning twelve in a few months (and on 12U travel) and around 108lbs and uses the 31 inch model and loves the bat. I am glad other people are pitching bp since he is a power hitter. He has reported no sting at all from the bat, even when hitting outside pitches to the opp field. I suspect bats that have a huge sting are defective in some way. I don't know about longevity or in game performance, but so far is going well. We did not have Easton last year, he used Solo 618 drop 11 but i want him transitioning to heavier bats so -8 Ghost for us this year, along with -3 or -5 wood bats for wood only tournaments.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Excessive vibration Purchased bat via the recall voucher. My 11 y.o. says the bat has good balance and pop. The only problem is it rings his hands so bad he doesn't want to even use the bat. We tried putting another 1.8mm lizzard wrap over the existing one in order to dampen the sting but it did not help. I don't know what to do with the bat at this point.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Improvement over last year's model. Value TBD So far, being winter, my 11 year old son has only had one occasion to use the bat and did so indoors. He hit off a tee, hit soft toss and some regular bp. This year's model bat still has the wood-like knock sound of a synthetic vs. that of aluminum bat, which we like. He said he likes the vibration dampening better than last year's GhostX. His hands don't sting as much if he hits a ball off the end of the bat. You could really feel a non-sweet spot hit on last year's models. He has both a GhostX Hyperlite -11 one-piece, and a two-piece GhostX -10 from last year. Since he had grown a bit, I thought he could handle a slightly longer -8 model, so this is not exactly an apple to apples comparison. I also swung it a bit and I like the slightly more end loaded feel of a -8. The Lizard Skin grip is nice and padded and the bat looks cool too. This is not an inexpensive bat, and "bang for the buck" has yet to be determined in real play. Fortunately, I had a 20% off code when I bought it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pop I bought this bat for my 13 year old a month ago. It is obvious that this year’s bats have a lot more pop than last year’s bats when they implemented the new USA standard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Son loves it. I love it. My son loves it, and it is well balanced. Only issue was the shipping. They left the package ($500 worth of stuff) by the sidewalk next to a small picket fence. I have no idea how long it was sitting here as I happened to let the dog out and saw the package. Anyone could have walked along and taken the box as it was far from my porch. So if you buy stuff, watch out for the package, because the shipper was not the usual UPS, USPS, etc...
