CATCHER'S HELMET MAKO II
MAKO II is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best designed helmet with one small flaw My 14 year old catches and has tried 3 other helmets. The Mako is the most well thought out of everything we have tried. Visability is excellent, comfort is great, ventilation is better than most. The one fly in the ointment is that we only have 2 months on this helmet and the chin pad wont stay in . The sticker that has Velcro that holds the chin pad in place has come off and is not sticky. Tried calling Customer Service and Warrentee lines , after 2 hours still could not get through. Cmon Easton , you are better than that.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not the quality expected from Easton Just received this helmet and it's going back without being used, so this review will be limited. Was really looking forward to a high quality, light weight helmet. Unfortunately, right out of the box that seems not to be the case. My son put the mask on and instantly said, "the cage is crooked". He was right, the cage bars are noticeably uneven and poorly finished at best. The horizontal bar is slanted by 1/4" from one side to the other. The inverted U shaped vertical bar is offset to one side by 3/8". At first I thought that the cage had just been bent, or installed in the clips incorrectly. After taking several measurements. this does not seem to be the case. (I have tried to show this in photos attached.) Looking more closely at the cage, there are either major runs in the finish on the cage or possibly poor welds. I would have to scrape off the finish to be sure. Either way, I have no confidence that this helmet would protect my son. Sorry Easton but I paid more for this helmet than the pro version from another manufacturer that my son has outgrown. I expected better. Will probably be looking elsewhere for a replacement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT GREAT GREAT! This is an awesome helmet! It fits great, and looks great! My 13 year old daughter is 5'2 and 130lbs, and she wears the small. This helmet is by far the most comfortable helmet on the market, the padding is second to none. Wasn't too thrilled with the torq green clips and I was planning on just spray painting them black, but when it arrived at my house I was pleasantly surprised to find that Easton included clear replacement clips! Score! We've owned almost every set including Easton Natural, Louisville Slugger, Mizuno Samurai, Original Mako, and now Mako ll. Don't waste your money on anything else.....Mako is the way to go.
