CATCHER'S SET M5 QWIK-FIT

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nothing but problems with the leg guards! I bought this gear a month ago for my 9 year old daughter because it was advertised as easy for kids to get on and off by themselves. The chest protector and helmet are nice but the leg guards are horrible! The bottom 2 buckles are so hard for even me to get off and on. My daughter got a cut on her finger from the plastic on the leg guards when trying to get the gear off so she could hurry up to bat. I am not pleased with them at all and would like to return them for a different kind.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money Do not waste your money on this gear. Cheaply made mask, chest protector is way to flimsy and chokes my kid, shin guards are easy on but near impossible to get off. Great concept, poor execution. Another case of you get what you pay for. My son went back to his old mizuno samurai gear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product for the money I bought this set for my son who is a die hard catcher but he is left handed and I didn't want to spend a lot on a set due to fact doesn't play there all the time. that being said he did play about 40 games with it and it held up great. the straps did stretch but anyone who knows anything about equipment, its going to happen just put tape on them. My son also wears glasses and has no difficulties getting the mask off to catch pop-ups. Overall great product for the money.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Straps won't stay attached. I bought this gear for my son because it was advertised as being easy to put on and take off for kids and because I love Easton products. The gear was solid during winter training easy to adjust he doesn't need help with it. I was concerned about the clips on the leg guards and I was right, after a couple months of use the straps come loose on a regular basis the clips stay attached to the leg guards and the straps pull completely out, I emailed CS and was advised to use athletic tape to keep the straps attached not the answer I was looking for. It's too late for me to return the gear so now I'm looking to replace it before the season starts in 3 weeks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good looking gear Bought this for my nephew. He's a solid catcher who is hard on his gear and so far this has held up to the test. He likes it because he can get it on and off himself rather easily and can adjust it himself also. The only issue he has is when he squats down into catcher position the chest protector and helmet come in contact and it pushes the helmet up so he is constantly pulling the helmet down. We've tried adjusting the chest protector and the helmet but it does the same thing. Other than that he loves the gear and it has performed well for him.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product The equipment has a good appearance. The straps are easy to adjust to tighten. The helmet was difficult to adjust when loosening. The straps seem to be solid as far as staying latched while kids are catching rather than others that I have seen that have trouble with straps. It is somewhat difficult to unstrap. I worry about the longevity of the plastic straps that snap into the leg guard. They have worked well so far.
