It has been recently brought to our attention that certain Easton product certified to the NOCSAE standard has the certified life information in a location that is not easily seen. The certification life of both batting and catcher’s helmets is five years from the date of manufacture. As a matter of prudence, we would like to inform you that the certified life information of batting helmets, traditionally placed on the interior of Easton batting helmets, will be placed under the brim going forward. Likewise, the certified life information of catcher’s helmets, traditionally placed on the interior of the catcher’s helmet, will be printed on the rear cap of all Easton catcher’s helmets going forward. This information is important to you as after this period, the helmet shall not be used and should be replaced. This 5 year maximum certification life is applicable to all batting and catcher’s helmets on the market which meet the NOCSAE standard.
