GHOST X HYPERLITE -11 (2-5/8") is rated 2.0 out of 5 by 58.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Easton Ever- dead bat! Dead bat, two different kids on our team have this bat and both are junk! We both just bought it brand new and neither of our kids use it. So sad, a complete waste of money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed. Terrible Performance. My son got the Ghost X Hyperlite 27/16 for Christmas. He’s a very, very small 9 almost 10 year old (4’1 55 pounds) with a great eye, who in the past would fly ball after ball into the short outfield collecting single after single. I ordered the Hyperlite because it was pretty much the only USABat with drop 11 at the time. I have fully researched and understand the impact of the new standard, but by any measure the Hyperlite is under performing as all it produces are soft floaters that go ~60 feet and ground balls with no spin that die and are easily fielded. After 1500 to 2000 hits (~25 games, cages, practice, side toss, tee, etc.) with the Hyperlite, I swear at this point it is taking energy out of the collision between the bat and ball. I think a roll of cardboard would be as effective as the Hyperlite. I think it has gotten less hot the more he’s swung with it. For a Memorial Day tournament this past weekend one of the kids on his travel team who grew tired of his Ghost X doing nothing, showed up with an Easton competitors USABat that cost half the price of the Ghost line. By the end of the weekend nearly the entire team had abandoned their Ghosts and were using it. My son used it for the last game, and choking up a bit due to his teammates bat being a larger size and therefore 2 ounces heavier than his Hyperlite, he went 3 for 3 with his singles being lined into the short outfield like his old bat. This makes sense, yes USABat performs less, but he is a year older and stronger so those two should counter each other and performance should be about where he was with an aluminum bat last year. It seems to me that Easton may have rushed the Ghost line to market in order to be first, and in doing so only beefed up the barrel to decrease the trampoline effect to USABat standards, but didn't fully consider how this would impact swing weight (i.e., how a bat actually feels when you swing) or how the thicker composite would perform over time. After 5 months of use the Hyperlite fails in every category and wish I could get my money back. PS. I rarely review items online. But my disappointment is such that I think people should know how the Ghost line, not just the Hyperlite, actually perform.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bat is dead! Bought this model in December of 2017 as a Christmas gift for my 11 year old son. There wasn't much data or reviews as it was recently released for the upcoming season and new regulations. I opted for Easton because the Mako's were so succussful I figured it was a good choice. We practiced indoors all winter with it and it seemed ok, despite some stingers. Once the season started you could clearly see that this bat had no pop, he was shaking his hands from stingers and unless you hit it on the screws it just was completely dead. After a month I purchased another Easton, this time an aluminum S750C and was night and day! This bat has pop, no stinging and seems to be more forgiving! Stinks that I'm out of $279 for a bat that was basically used for a month!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cracked! Out of all the bats we tried this one had the most POP and performed well... for a few games that is. Unfortunately this VERY pricey bat didn't last. It cracked on the lower part of the barrel halfway through the season. We've reached out several times and haven't had any response from Easton. On a good note, my son is Crushing it with his teammates $75 Rawlings Prodigy bat!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bat! This is a great bat! The reviews that are 2 and 1 stars really anger me. This is a great bat. Huge barrel, big sweet spot, and plenty of pop. Only is that you might want to instal your own bat grip, though.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Made some adjustments My son is a solid hitter, as a 9 year old he batted .458 and .600 OB. I purchased this bat with great expectation. After the 2nd practice he was actually crying because of the sting, he never experienced that before. I replaced the skin and now he can hit with the bat, as there was no way Easton was going to ever take it back after being used. The skin took the sting away and he can hit it. I also bought him a wooden bat (same one I used when I was a kid). He is using the Ghost X against faster pitchers and wooden bat against the slower pitchers. 3 games in he is batting .500. In one game he had two hits against the same pitcher that looked identical, yet with different bats. Not sure if this helps, yet I do not think the bat is worth the price. I think Easton makes great products, but this one is a huge disappointment for me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do NOT buy this bat I agree with all the other reviews regarding this bat. The performance is awful and the pain my son has in his hands when using this bat is terrible! Extremely frustrating to spend this kind of money on a product that is a dud. I have also reached out to customer service and am still awaiting a response....I'm wondering if this will be the next Easton to be de-certified by USA Baseball.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garbage My son hits his wooden bat further than his Easton Ghost Hyperlite. What a huge disappointment.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Horrible bat My son has this bat to use this year and absolutely hates it. He is getting hits because he knows how to bat but this hurts like no other and he uses gloves and the thumb ring shock absorber. My other son uses a prodigy with no problem.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ghost X hyperlite Totally concur with all the poor reviews. I have owned several Easton products in the past with good results and was satisfied. Ive been on hold 3 different times for 45+ minutes and can't get through to their warranty dept. Spent nearly 300$ to watch my son borrow his teammates Louiville slugger. Super frustrating!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Busted! Four games into our season and the bat is busted....High dollar bat but definitely not high quality! DO NOT BUY!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good until you hit the ball Just not a good bat, kid used it twice hit less than 20 balls. could not feel his hands after due to the vibration and bat developed a rattle with in the first 10 swings...going through the return process with Easton currently. I have a garage full of Easton products and this is by far the worst we have ever bought from them stay away from this bat.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do NOT waste your money!!! There is absolutely NO pop off this bat!!! We have three different baseball teams between city league and travel ball and this is by far the worst investment of all equipment we have ever purchased. There are numerous USA bats throughout all our teams and would hands down recommend the Beast (2pc) or even the simple, aluminum, Rawlings Prodigy. Do NOT waste your money!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Agree with outher one star reviews High price vibration and NO pop...also a small rattle. Easton was very understanding though and replaced my Ghost with a Beast...hope it works better. Just ask for a replacement due to vibration and you may get it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from overall good bat I bought this bat for my 7 year old and so far so good i put a lizard skinz over the factory grip and my son or his teamates havent complain about bat sting overall havent had any bad experiences so far wih the 28 17onz

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful Bat Obviously this bat was not tested properly. It performs like a bat that should cost well below $100.00. The vibration is so bad my son who is usually a very solid hitter could not make it through a five minute round of BP and had to spend 10 minutes in the dugout trying to get the feeling back in his hands. When you do hit the so called sweet spot the ball goes nowhere. Total waste of almost 300 bucks. Very disappointed!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Easton Stinger They should rename the bat as the Easton StingRay or the Stinger. Use in game might be ok since kid is only having a few at bats. My kid can hit all day in the batting cage or batting practice with his old mako and xl3. But with the hyperlite, he can only do a couple of batting cage rounds due to the stingers. My guess is Easton probably rushed the R&D to get this bat out by Christmas. Very disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do Not Buy!! On the board directors for our Little League. Many of our manager are selling these bats online to get away from them. They do not hit well at all!!! My son is crying at the plate from the hand stingers he's getting. Of course Easton is no where to be found on these message boards or offering a solution for a premium quality bat. Your silence tells us alot about your customer service. Extremely disappointed!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stay Away From this Bat I can't stress it enough, STAY AWAY from this bat. My son is an excellent hitter and complains about the vibrations on this bat. I thought it was in his head, but every child he lets use it complains about the same thing. At close to $400 it is the WORST purchase I have ever made for anything costing this much. IT now becomes a wasted $400 that will sit in my garage or in my car trunk! Have three kids and coach both local Rec teams and Regional Travel. Won't be able to recommend Easton again after a being a longstanding advocate to my players and parents....

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Easton bat ever produced My son is an 11 yr old player who had been hitting Mako bats. When the standard went to USAbat, we knew we'd lose the pop associated with those bats, but hoped Easton would provide a decent bat in the USAbat standard with a drop 11 weight. Bottom line, the Hyperlite is the most unforgiving, hard-stinging bat we've ever used. Aside from being dead (no pop), its sweet spot is tiny, with any mis-hits either resulting in pop flies or foul balls. Even worse, most mis-hits result in terrible sting, resulting in a very painful experience for my son. After using the bat for several games (and hundreds of hits in the cages), we've hung it up and moved to a DeMarini Voodoo and are VERY pleased. We are no longer Easton loyalists, and there are several players in our league (and on our state champ All Star team) who have reached the same conclusion.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Find a different bat The quality of this bat is the worst as both 8U and 11U players have abandoned them

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality Bat No pop Severe vibration Never buy Easton again! Thx

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 11 YEAR OLD MAJOR LEAGUE My son started practice with his old bat , then I handed him his new Ghost Hyper lite. There is no turning back. he had a great swing experience and said he loved the new sound it make when he connects with the base ball. Great control and faster swing with this bat

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst bat ever Do not waste your money on this junk of a bat. My son has used Easton makos for the last 3 seasons with no problems they were great. I know the regulations have changed so the bats have changed but with the money spent for a higher end bat you would expect little vibration but with this bat you might as well be out there swinging a piece of rebar. Buy this bat if you would like to watch your once confident player become scared of even making contact with the ball. I really would like to see Easton do what right and issue returns or make a recall on this bat. We have been customers of Easton’s for years but might switch it up because of a flop of a bat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 9U Bat So far so good. Great control and smooth swing through contact. Deceptive as it sounds dull on contact. One complaint is the sound - if you can get over that the exit velocity is the same or +1.9 mph more than Rawlings alloy. It’s different and deceptive. Very balanced. Son had to adjust from a Marucci Cat7 to the USA standards. He prefers the Ghost - I couldn’t believe it. Very consistent line drives 28” 17...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hyper Lite -11 I jumped the gun as well and about this bat for my son. I spent $279 on this bat and it was a complete WASTE of money and I wish I could get Easton to reimburse me my money and we are looking for a new bat as well. This bat has incredibly bad sting and the exit velocity is just not there. My son is in continuous frustration because he says I've lost my "pop" dad. This new USA Standard has put a black eye on little league. Go back to the drawing board Easton this bat is a failure.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don’t buy this bat!!! Jumped the gun and bought this bat for my son when it first came out. I kick myself bc I should have waited. I wasted $280 and he’s miserable using it. The sting is horrible. And the ball doesnt come off the bat with any “pop”. He was getting so frustrated with hitting, until he started using a friends bat... now I have to spend another few hundred dollars for a different bat and this one will never be used. I wish Easton could reimburse me somehow. I’ve always bought Easton bats (3 different makos from the orange one to the black and green to the beast), but this one severely let us down.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money!! I am an Easton life long advocate. They make great products. I bought this bat for my son and the sting was so bad that he almost wanted to quit the season. I kept pushing him to use it due to the amount of money I had paid for this bat. Finally, I allowed him to use another bat and everything changed. He started ripping the ball again and had that "baseball smile" back on his face. The bat we switched to was another Easton (S750). Hopefully Easton will help me get credit for the Hyperlight.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bat Sting After trying to break this bat in for a few months of soft toss, tee work, and pitching machines; we came to the conclusion that this bat's sting will not go away. Very unfortunate as this is the only bat in the current market that is rated for USA baseball and carries a (-11) drop. With the new USA bat rules, we wanted to try a 1-piece composite, but we don't recommend this one. Sorry Easton, we like your bats - but this one's a stinger.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stings hands worse than any bat Worst bat Ive has ever picked up easton ghost x. Feels like your riding down the road and stick your hand out the window and slap a power pole.As a 10u coach this bat will never be used by anyone on my team.I give $289 for the bat. Worst bat we have ever used.the easton mako was a good bat.but now is illegal cause its not a usa bat.
