ADVANCED MATERIALS. EXPLOSIVE POWER. The 2018-19 Easton® Ghost® X Evolution -10 is a two-piece EXACT™ Carbon composite design with a speed balanced swing weight. New FLEX™ barrel technology, designed specifically for 1.15 BPF performance, provides a 20% softer barrel for optimal feel and performance. Easton’s CXN EVOLUTION™ two-piece construction uses NITROCELL™ foam, creating a lighter and better feeling connection between the handle and the barrel, and a new Speed Cap™ design helps create a more flexible and responsive barrel, while also enhancing the sound of the bat. The -10 speed balanced design delivers a lighter swing weight for more speed behind the ball at contact, and Easton’s® DYNAMIC FEEL SYSTEM™ provides outstanding all-around feel and performance. This 2018-19 Easton® Ghost® X Evolution model has a 2-5/8” barrel and features a custom Lizard Skin™ grip for the best feel, cushion and tack. It is approved for play in USSSA and associations that follow the 1.15BPF standard.

3 bats broke
We purchased this bat for my son in December 2019. He used it for a couple months and it broke. 2 other kids on his team had the same bat and had the same problem this season.

Terrible bat and Easton wouldn’t accept a return
Hello. I am very disappointed with this product and overall service by Easton. I called the warranty department yesterday as my sons Ghost evolution 29 inch bat cracked. I received this bat as a replacement in the April/may timeframe as previous one cracked as well. He started using it again after being off from bb for 5 months. He came back from hitting and noticed multiple cracks in bat. The warranty department said due to policy they cannot do anything for me. I understand policy but don’t understand how you can supply a bat and not offer a replacement if in fact it’s damaged to begin with. I would like your help with this situation. Thank you in advance.

Didn't even last one game!!!
We bought this bat just after Christmas for our son who was playing 10u for a very competitive AA team. We did soft toss with real baseballs in our heated garage to break it in before the season started. We were meticulous about counting hits and rotating the bat a quarter turn to break it in evenly. We finally let him use it in April when the weather warmed up. He used it at 2 at bats. The ball just died on contact. He came off the field in tears saying he thought he heard it crack. Sure enough, the coach checked the bat and it was rattling. Our son is contact hitter and not real big. I was not expecting this bat to be so fragile, especially with the care my son took with it. He has used his 2016 Demarini Voodoo Overlord for years and never had a problem like this.

Hot bat, poor design quality
I bought my son an Easton Mako 28/18 two-piece composite that he used for 9u and 10u seasons. (He is on a USSSA majors team.) The bat was outstanding so when it came time for a longer bat for his 11u season, I again wanted an Easton two-piece composite. I purchased this Easton Ghost X Evolution in a 30/20.
After using the bat during indoor practices for about a month, the end cap shattered while he was hitting live pitching in a batting cage. Mind you, my son is never allowed to mistreat his bat. He never abuses it. He knows that it cost $350 and I have high expectations for his treatment of his equipment. I contacted Easton and shipped the bat back and they shipped me a brand new one in time for the start of the season.
So the new bat arrives and and I’m paranoid about making sure he is treating the bat well; to the point of babying it. I help coach and I even refused to hit pop flies to the outfielders pre game with the bat for fear it might break. Well, a month into the season, the end cap cracked on the replacement bat. I contacted Easton and they said they will again send me a new one after I mail this one back.
To be clear, the bat itself has incredible pop. If it didn’t, I would definitely ask Easton for a different model replacement. I’m willing to give it one more shot but I’m not holding my breath.
If you ask me, the culprit is the fact that the last 1/8” of the bat is the end cap itself. On his old Mako, the end cap was almost screwed into the end; meaning even hits of the end of the bat didn’t actually touch the end cap. However, with the Ghost X Evolution, hits off the end of the bat go directly off the end cap which is obviously incapable of handling that type of force.
I am thankful for Easton’s customer service and their willingness to replace the bat both times. However, I REALLY hope this bat holds up and hope my son isn’t swinging tentatively I’m fears of cracking the end cap again.

Cap broke twice
Had this bat 3 weeks and the cap broke. We got the bat back 4 weeks later and the cap broke the first time my son used it in his game. We have always bought him Easton bats and not had this problem. But this is a big issue with us because he plays every weekend and has no bat
