EASTON DIAMOND SPORTS, LLC. ADDS NEW MODEL TO CELEBRATED FAMILY OF GHOST DOUBLE BARREL FASTPITCH BATS
Ground-breaking Double Barrel Construction with Company’s Other Proven Technologies Combined In One Bat, Now Approved for All Fields Ahead of 2019 Women’s College World Series
THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (May 17, 2019) – Easton Diamond Sports, the industry leader in product innovation and technology, today announced that the hottest fastpitch bat in the game is now approved for all fields. Easton’s Ghost Double Barrel fastpitch bats have taken the softball world by storm, introduced in both ASA / USA and USSSA models prior to this year. Now, the company launches the latest Ghost Double Barrel which is certified by all of the country’s major governing bodies along with a striking new design. Pre-orders begin today, with availability at retail starting June 17th.
The new Ghost Double Barrel has already been put in play by some of the top professional, travel ball programs as well as D1 college programs in the nation, and is set to take the stage later this month in Oklahoma City for the 2019 NCAA Women’s College World Series. Easton recently announced growing its Team Easton partnerships to include 96 college fastpitch programs across the country, including four of the current top 10 teams according to the latest 2019 rankings.
Key to the overwhelming popularity of Easton’s Ghost Double Barrel fastpitch bats to date at all levels of play, as well as the record pace at which the new Ghost Double Barrel model has already been adopted by elite players for play on all fields, personal stories and word of mouth by coaches, families and athletes have created a movement.
“Easton’s growth in fastpitch softball the past several years has been remarkable, and the Ghost Double Barrel Bat has definitely revolutionized the industry from a technology standpoint,” said Easton SVP of Sales and Marketing Dan Jelinek. “We knew these bats would provide a better hitting experience for players of all levels due to the integration of a dual composite barrel technology which provide a unique feel with game changing performance. Further, the unique sound on impact reinforces confidence at the plate which has also resonated very well with the softball community.”
Featuring Easton’s patent-pending Double Barrel construction, the new Ghost Double Barrel is the ultimate combination of feel, pop and sound. XTX™ (Xtra Tough Resin Matrix) technology provides durability and flexibility and extremely low barrel compression, and Easton’s 2- piece Connexion+™ technology features Nitrocell™ foam to create a lighter and better feeling connection between handle and barrel. Ghost Double Barrel also offers players an ultra-thin 29/32" handle with 1.2 mm Hyperskin™ grip.
“We are very excited to be launching this new ‘multi-association’ model that can be used on all fields of play,” Jelinek continued.
With certification by ASA (USA), USSSA (fastpitch only), NSA, ISA and ISF on this new bat, every player will experience the Ghost Double Barrel in one model no matter where they compete. Sizes available for pre-order now and at retail on June 17th include: -10 (30/20, 31/21, 32/22, 33/23, 34/24), -9 (32/23, 33/24, 34/25), -8 (33/25, 34/26).
